This is one of the great adventures of the entire Riviera Maya and a Unikgo favorite. In this adventure you will caravan in a jeep through the Sian Kaan reserve to the southern most point of Punta Allen.

Sian Kaan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the most beautiful national reserve in all of Mexico and the Caribbean. With miles of beautiful virgin white sand beaches, untouched lagoons, untrafficked coral reefs, and one of Mexico’s largest diversities of wildlife it is a natural wonder. The reserve has over 350 species of birds, as well as monkeys, manatees, jaguars, tejones, and wild pigs to name a few.

Because the roads are unpaved and in poor condition the best way to explore is by Jeep. On the Jeep adventure you will drive you own jeep and travel with trained guides who will make periodic stops to point out wildlife and plant life that is of interest. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours (depending on the condition of the road)  in which you will travel through jungle, and see incredible views of the Caribbean Sea and stretches of untouched beaches. The road is very bumpy but it is half of the adventure.

When you reach Punta Allen you will board panga boat and head off for a 3 hour tour in which you will snorkel the Great Mayan Reef (second longest reef in the world), cruise through the famous black lagoon, and see blanquizal.

The boats used to perform the adventure are pangas. Your first stop will be to the coral reef but on the way  it  is very likely that you will see wild dolphins in their natural habitat and countless varieties of birds. The snorkeling spot is completely pristine as it is far away from the traffic of many tours. The location is specially famous for the amount of turtles which inhabit the area as well as starfish. Afterwards you will cruise to a natural pool known as blanquizal for its powder like sand where you can take unforgettable photos.

After the panga tour you will have a delicious natural lunch before heading back to Tulum.

This day is incredible and unique because it brings you closer to nature and allows you to see one of the most pristine and beautiful attractions in all of Mexico. Definitely consider booking this one of a kind experience.
